Arab Children Health Congress


The Arab Children Health Congress is an initiative by HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that has been held since 2006 as a platform for children and health experts in UAE and the Arab World to voice their concerns and challenges in line with the Millennium Development Goals – MDG, in its 5th edition, Arab Children Health Congress 2012 focused on the theme: “Childhood Cancer Towards a Positive Approach”.

The Congress tackled subjects related to the issues of Childhood Cancer within the local and regional community. The topics discussed raised awareness of general public about the facts related to childhood cancer. Additionally, specialized sessions led by experts discussed opportunities for survival of childhood cancer and presented a forum for their families to share their experiences. Also, the congress promoted multi-disciplinary care of Leukemia childhood and promoted the psychosocial well being of children with cancer.
